FILTROS (UK) Glass micro fibre thimbles are made from high-purity
borosilicate glass fibers. They are completely free from binders and additives and can
therefore be used at temperatures of up to 500°C. These thimbles are manufactured with
very accurate dimensions and are suitable for standard Soxhlet extractors.
Applications
These thimbles are widely used for solvent extraction when the solvent is incompatible
with cellulose thimbles. They are also commonly used for stack monitoring due to their
retention of particles down to approximately 0.7 micron. The typical wall thickness is
2.0 mm.
